Application of fuzzy logic in resistive fault modeling and simulation

چکیده
Real defects (e.g., resistive stuck at or bridging faults) in the very large-scale integration (VLSI) circuits cause intermediate voltages which cannot be modeled as ideal shorts. In this paper, we first show that the traditional zero-resistance model is not sufficient for fault simulation. Then, we present a resistive fault model for real defects and use fuzzy logic techniques for fault simulation and test pattern generation at the gate level. Our method uses Takagi–Sugeno (TS) fuzzy system to accurately model digital VLSI circuits and produces much more realistic fault coverage compared to the conventional methods. The experimental results include the fault coverage and test-pattern statistics for the ISCAS85 benchmarks.

UAV attitude Sensor Fault Detection Based On Fuzzy Logic and by Neural Network Model Identification
Fault detection has always been important in aviation systems to prevent many accidents. This process is possible in different ways. In this paper, we first identify the longitudinal axis plane model using neural network approach. Then based on the obtained model and using fuzzy logic, the aircraft status sensor fault detection unit was designed. The simulation results show that the fault detec...
متن کاملAssessment of Critical Fire Risks in an Industrial Estate Using a Combination of Fuzzy Logic, Expert Elicitation, Bow-tie, and Monte Carlo Methods
Background and Objective: Industrial estates have been described as highly prone to fire incidents. According to the baseline studies, more than 85% of the industrial accidents occurring in industrial estates during the 80s and 90s were fire incidents affecting more than one factory in 10% of the cases. Materials and Methods: After the identification of 30 high-risk industries in Abbasabad i...
متن کاملFault Diagnosis in a Yeast Fermentation Bioreactor by Genetic Fuzzy System
In this paper, the fuzzy system has been used for fault detection and diagnosis of a yeast fermentation bioreactor based on measurements corrupted by noise. In one case, parameters of membership functions are selected in a conventional manner. In another case, using certainty factors between normal and faulty conditions the optimal values of these parameters have been obtained through the g...
متن کاملAn Optimal Design Approach for Resistive and Inductive Superconducting Fault Current Limiters via MCDM Techniques
The design process of a superconducting current limiter (SFCL) requires simulation and definition of its electrical, magnetic and thermal properties in form of equivalent circuits and mathematical models. However, any change in SFCL parameters: dimension, resistance, and operating temperature can affect the limiting mode, quench time, and restore time. In this paper, following the simulation of...
متن کاملHybrid Approach Based on ANFIS Models for Intelligent Fault Diagnosis in Industrial Actuator
This paper introduces the application of the hybrid approach Adaptive Neuro-Fuzzy Inference System (ANFIS) for fault classification and diagnosis in industrial actuator. The ANFIS can be viewed either as a fuzzy inference system, a neural network or fuzzy neural network (FNN). This paper integrates the learning capabilities of neural network to the robustness of fuzzy systems in the sense that ...
